Bedi in her complaints has said that Meenakshi had sent obscene SMS to her after the brawl.

As per the FIR, Bedi has alleged that Meenakshi abused her and sent her abusive SMS till four in the morning. She claimed Meenakshi and her daughter had started the fight and had threatened them while at the pub.

Bedi has also complained that Meenakshi's daughter have harassed her via social networking sites in the past by creating hate pages against her daughter. She has claimed that several times the mother-daughter duo had made several abusive and obscene remarks about Bedi, her daughter and even Bedi's mother in public, which spoke about her profession, ad film shoots and family life. Bedi has provided evidence (SMS and social networking site) to the police.

The police have registered a case under sections of the IT Act and POCSO (protection of children from sexual offences) Act—defamation, criminal intimidation and word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman under relevant sections of the IPC.

Arundati Rane, senior PI of Versova police, said: "We have registered a case based on Bedi's allegations. I will not be able to reveal more as it involves minors as well."
