After coming to know of the bus accident in which 33 passengers died and one survived near Ambenali Ghat near Mahabaleshwar, political leaders started expressing their grief on social media.

Writing on social media like Twitter, the state's Minister of Finance & Planning, Forests, Sudhir Mungantiwar said, "Sad to learn about loss of innocent lives due to an unfortunate bus accident at Ambenali Ghat in Raigad district of Konkan region. Our prayers remain with families of deceased and we hope for quick recovery of injured passengers"

The President of India Ram Nath Kovind from the President of India account, wrote, "Extremely saddened to learn about the tragic bus accident in Raigad, Maharashtra. Rescue efforts are on to help affected people. Thoughts and prayers with the bereaved families and with those injured #PresidentKovind."

Pankaja Munde, Minister for Rural Development, Women & Child Development, tweeted, "Deeply saddened by terrible bus accident at Ambenali Ghat in Dist. Raigad. My prayers with the families of the deceased and praying for the quick recovery of the injured."

"Extremely sad to hear about the accident of a bus near Poladprur in Raigad district carrying 33 employees of Konkan agriculture university. My heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this horrifying accident," Ex-Chief Minister of the state, Ashok Chavan, said.

Local citizen Gourav Khattar tweeted, "Pained by the loss of lives due to a bus accident in Maharashtra's Raigad district My condoned to those who lost their loved ones."

Another citizen, Aditya Angle, tweeted, "Saddened by the news of the bus accident on the Mahabaleshwar-Poladpur road in Raigad District. Thoughts with the family members of those who lost their lives in the accident. Prayers to give strength to their family members to bear the irreparable loss."
