Police zeroed in on two suspects in 12-year-old boy murder​ case​

In a major breakthrough in the Tilak Nagar murder case of the 12-year-old boy, whose body was found stuffed in a red trolley bag at the Lokmanya Tilak Nagar Terminus' on Jan 8, the police have zeroed in on the two suspects while scrutinising CCTV cameras installed at bag shops ​in Mumbai.

According to police, the two suspects were ​seen on the CCTV footage of ​a​ shop in Borivali while purchasing the red trolley bag, in which the body was found. The police suspect that the duo bought the bag from the shop and after killing the teenager, they stuffed the body and dumped ​it ​at the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus.

"We are sure that the bag they bought from the shop is the same bag, in which the child was found.​ ​

We have started the hunt to trace them. So far they have not been identified.​ Our investigation is still on​,​" said a senior police officer who is privy to the investigation.

Earlier, the Tilak Nagar Police had arrested a man who is said to be working as a loader at the LTT parcel station from Indore after he was caught on CCTV camera installed at the LTT parcel station dragging the red trolley bag.

However, he did not confess ​to ​the crime and in his statement, he said that he found the bag at the station and had taken it with the hope of getting some​thing in it.​ But when he opened the bag he found the body in it​ and panicked.​ He ​then ​dumped the bag on the farmland instead of informing the police.
