Belongings of the residents of the Ghatkopar building that collapsed that were collected from the spot by the police will be returned to the residents.

According to a senior police officer, they have assigned an officer to ensure the safety of the Sai Siddhi resident's money, jewellery, utensils, and other belongings that were collected from the spot and were taken in their possession for safety's sake. Police said they have enlisted the belongings and an officer has been assigned to take charge of these and distribute them to the respective owners.

"We have found several belongings of the residents; not only gold and money but bags, boxes, cupboards, suitcases, documents, idols, some cash, and jewellery, which have been taken in our possession after making the panchanama. We will return it to the survivors in the next two-three days. We want to return them as soon as possible since there are many crucial documents and jewellery, too. We have not kept an account of the value of each, but a record of the property has been maintained. Since there were only nine families living in the building, it won't be too difficult for us to distribute the stuff," said a police officer.
