Police carry out campaign in city against gang of laptop thieves

The Mumbai police is carrying out an awareness drive alerting Mumbaikars to be careful about a gang of thieves targeting car drivers, who steal valuables from cars. Police stations across the city are putting up advisory boards on the streets including at Nariman Point, Andheri and Dadar, advising people to keep their valuables in the trunk of their cars. The modes operandi of the thieves is to target unsuspecting car drivers and steal bags containing laptops from the backseat of the car.

Such incidents have also been reported from parking zones where thieves have broken the car window and have stolen valuables.
