It was a surprise for Sayali Sawant and Vrushali Bagve from North Mumbai Lok Sabha Constituency when Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his conversation through video conferencing by saying, 'Kase Aahat, Metroche Kaam kase suru Aahe?' ( How are you, how is Metro work going on? )

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conferencing conversation with party workers of North Mumbai Lok Sabha Constituency. The well-attended program at the Prabodhankar Thackeray auditorium also saw Minister for Education Vinod Tawde, Lok Sabha MP Gopal Shetty, Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar and MLA MLC Bhai Girkar in attendance.

Prime Minister reminisced that he had visited this constituency when he had come to the Veer Savarkar garden in 2007 during a campaign rally in this constituency during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign.

Replying to question by Sawant and Bagve the Prime Minister told them about various welfare schemes that the Union Government started after he came to power in 2014. Prime Minister also told the audience that the youth in Maharashtra should try to become job givers than just being job seekers. Prime Minister also congratulated North Mumbai BJP workers for trying to convey various schemes of his Government to the constituencies.

Prime Minister recounted the welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Mudra scheme, Start-Up India, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana during his interaction. He told that benefits of various schemes including that of scholarships that are now being directly deposited in bank accounts through Direct benefit transfer (DBT).

Besides the interaction in Mumbai, the Prime Minister also interacted with four Lok Sabha constituencies which also included Gazipur in Uttar Pradesh, Pali in Rajasthan, Johat in Jharkhand and Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh for almost 90 minutes.
