A young manager working with a pharmaceutical company based in Worli was found hanging from the ceiling at her bungalow in Nalasopara on Monday night.

The police said the woman, Shweta Joy Lopez, was three months pregnant.

They have found a note that doesn't mention any reason for committing suicide. They suspect that the 30-year-old may have been under professional stress and will investigate this possibility.

Her husband operates a private business. They have a three-year-old daughter.

According to the police, on Monday afternoon, Shweta told her maid that she was going to rest and wished not to be disturbed. "At about 7pm, the family members got no response when they called to her. They broke into the bedroom through a window and found her hanging by a saree," a police official said.

Dilip Landge, assistant police inspector, said Shweta wrote in the suicide note that no one should be held responsible for her death, she loves everyone, and she apologized to them for taking the extreme step.
"We are investigating whether the woman was disturbed due to professional stress and will have to question her colleagues in this matter too," he said.
