According to Mumbai police, passing comments like, “ayegi kya aadhe ghante keliye” deserves just a booking under causing a nuisance in a public space. What else could possibly explain a 64-year-old pervert at Dadar police station being slapped with just that offence instead of molestation when he passed this comment to a female commuter. According to eye witnesses, a daily female commuter at Dadar station at about 5.30 in the evening was met with a sleazy, “aati hai kya aadhe ghante keliye?” from the elderly pervert. She promptly replies, “ruko, aati hoon”and walked out of the station asking him to wait for her. When she returned, she was accompanied by policemen from a nearby station. “We booked him under section 110 of the Bombay police Act,” confirmed the senior inspector of Matunga police station, Suresh Parab. When asked why was Barot not booked for molestation, Parab said, “ We need a complainant for charging him under sections of molestation. However, the lady who helped us in nabbing him had left from the station.”
