Parsi plays, Rustom on the agenda this Pateti

The Parsi community is all set to celebrate Parsi New Year, and this year, they have an addition to their to-do list. Community members, for whom watching a Parsi play on Pateti is a tradition, also plan to go and watch the new release Rustom.

"I plan to watch Rustom with my husband because it's a movie based on a Parsi. I'm not an Akshay Kumar fan, however, him playing that role is a major factor, and he does carry the look quite well. Besides, it might have an interesting depiction of Parsis which I am looking forward to," said Byculla resident Kaizeen Katrak.

However, for Dadar resident Pearl Tirandaz, who loves watching Parsi plays every year, said she will stick to the tradition. "I am fond of watching Parsi plays. Watching a play with the community is a good way to rejuvenate and have a good laugh. I would watch the movie, but not on new year day," she added.

For Aastha Todankar, a resident of Grant Road, a Parsi man being the protagonist is what has got her kicked about going for a Bollywood movie. "I love watching movies. However, this one particularly interests me because, in my view, this is the first time a Parsi character is the protagonist. I am going to watch it on new year day with my other Parsi friends."
