Hours after a student lodged a molestation complaint against Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui at Versova police station on Sunday, the actor's wife also lodged a cross complaint against five people. Siddiqui's wife in her complaint alleged that a group of people manhandled her when they had come to serve a society notice related to parking issues. Siddiqui has recorded his statement with the police on Monday.

"The complaint was lodged on Sunday night against five people of a society by Siddiqui's wife. She had filed a case of rioting, threatening and molestation. As per actor's wife, five persons, including three women, had barged in Siddiqui's office in the same society premises stating they wanted to meet Siddiqui. Siddiqui had had complained to the society authorities about the irregularities in the society. While Siddiqui was in washroom, the group manhandled his wife and left," said assistant commissioner of police, DN Nagar division Arun Chavan, adding that no arrests has been made yet in both the cases.

A 24-year-old student has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against Siddiqui alleging that the actor had pushed her during an argument, thereby outraged her modesty.

According to the police, victim is a resident of Zohra Aghadi Nagar (J&K) cooperative housing society at Yari Road in Versova. Victim's grandmother is the chairman of the said housing society. Siddiqui along with his family stays in the same housing society.

As per the FIR, filed by the student, society members have dispute over the parking issue, due to which the chairman and secretary of the building had issued notices to the members on Saturday. Since Siddiqui uses more parking space in the building, he too was given a notice but he did not accept the said notice, the complaint stated.

"On Sunday around 1.15 pm, when the victim was sitting with her grandmother in the society office she spotted the private bouncers of Siddiqui arguing with a member over parking of a motorcycle. She then started taking photographs of the incident on her mobile phone. Meanwhile, Siddiqui came to the spot and started arguing with her. He then pushed her and told her not to take any photographs. At that time, Siddiqui's brother, Shamshuddin and their bouncers were also present," said an officer.

He added, the victim then called police control room after which a police vehicle rushed to the spot. She then lodged a complaint against Siddiqui.

The police have registered a complaint under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code against Siddiqui for assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
