BJP MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha along with activists and parents of students studying in Robert Money school at Grant Road agitated outside its premises on Tuesday against its illegal closure. The parents later approached the additional commissioner of police of south region to file their complaint after their local police station refused to take any action on the school management.

The protest, which started at 10am, went on for an hour with parents, Lodha and Christian Reform United People Association (CRUPA) members arguing with the management as well as the police. CRUPA activists said barricades had been put up to stop students from entering but parents removed them. They approached ACP (south region) Pratap Dighavkar, who not only asked the local DB Marg police to remove the barricades, but also assured parents that offences would be registered in all matters.

Lodha said, "We protested in front of the school today... We also approached the south region ACP, who has assured us of help."
