Ours is probably the only association that has commenced several unique initiatives for the entire city. With the help of the H/West ward, we were able to get rid of 36 hawkers who occupied the neighbourhood even post our objections and interventions. Initially, cattle grazers and beggars, frequented this area and would roam around this place. But we made sure that they do not mess up the place. We ended up coordinating with the ward, only to install flowerbeds in the entire neighbourhood, which has increased the aesthetic value of Pali Hill.

This area is one of the few places in the city that is free of posters and banners of any sort—political or informative. We ensure that there are no banners in Pali Hill. Another very interesting thing we initiated and have continued; we have an agreement with the ward for roadworks. If the ward wants to carry out any road digging or other kinds of work, the contractors have to pay a deposit amount in advance to the association. This amount is refunded to the contractors once the work is done in the given timeframe, and adhering to the norms of the BMC. This is the reason Pali Hill does not have dug-up roads round the year, and neither are there badly patched-up roads.
We installed CCTVs at several locations of the neighbourhood, and helped seize three culprits and recovered gold worth Rs. 44 lakhs. We have been successful in disallowing any new commercial activities, which has been tough.

Another interesting initiative is that we have set down 16 rules for the builders who plan to redevelop any properties or carry on any construction work in the neighbourhood. These rules are beneficial for the residents. One of the rules include not conducting any work between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. as this disturbs the senior citizens.
