The Mumbai crime branch on Thursday took custody of Vijay Palande and his wife Simran Sood, a model, in connection with the bogus lease agreement case of Oberoi Springs building in Lokhandwala, Andheri. The couple was staying there on rent.

The Mumbai crime branch on Thursday took custody of Vijay Palande and his wife Simran Sood, a model, in connection with the bogus lease agreement case of Oberoi Springs building in Lokhandwala, Andheri. The couple was staying there on rent.
This is the seventh case in which he has been arrested. He is also the main accused in the murders of Arun Tikku and Karan Kakkar, and has been in judicial custody.
Sood’s real name is Seema Surinderkumar Dosanz, the police said.
“She was paying a rent of Rs45,000 per month, and would introduce Palande as her brother Karan Sood to people,” an official said.
“The other accused for the murders, Dhananjay Shinde and Manoj Gajkosh, were using the aliases Danny Shinde and Manoj Jadhav. They stayed in the same building as Tikku with Palande, and were paying a rent of Rs30,000.”
