Opposition mulls breach of privilege motion against Devendra Fadnavis over water-sharing

The Opposition is mulling over bringing a breach of privilege motion against chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, alleging that he has given misleading information in the state assembly. Opposition leader Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil said that they were discussing the move and were yet to take a final call.

The Opposition is mulling over bringing a breach of privilege motion against chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, alleging that he has given misleading information in the state assembly. Opposition leader Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil said that they were discussing the move and were yet to take a final call.

On his part, NCP legislator Jitendra Awhad said that he would bring the privilege motion against Fadnavis over giving incorrection information on Maharashtra-Gujarat water sharing accord. "The CM had claimed in the Assembly that not a single drop of water from Maharashtra would be given to Gujarat. The reality is that his government has entered into a secret deal with that state on water sharing.
