According to the applicant, Krishna Gupta, he had filed an RTI application with Thane rural police asking the details of the Thane rural police control room

A reply to a Right To Information (RTI) application states that there is only one dedicated telephone set in Thane rural police control room and two officers work there in two shifts to attend the calls on police emergency number 100.
According to the applicant, Krishna Gupta, he had filed an RTI application with Thane rural police asking the details of the Thane rural police control room, quantity of telephone booths available in the control room for attending the calls on 100 and number of officers deployed at the control room to attend the calls.
The reply states, 'The Thane rural police control room is situated at the first floor of Police superintendent office at Court Naka in Thane and one telephone set booth is available there for attending the calls from number 100.
"The reply further states that two call attendants-one in day time and one during the night time have been allotted to attend the calls."
