One arrested in cheating case

The Juhu police have arrested a female secretary of Uttar Pradesh MLA Subhash Pasi (Samajwadi Party) for allegedly duping the Assistant Police Inspector from Special Branch of Rs 22.90 Lakhs on tje pretext of giving him a flat in a SRA project at Chakala in Andheri East. The police also booked Pasi on charges of cheating. According to police, the complainant Suryakant Salvi, 58, Assistant Inspector alleged that along with Pasi, his secretary Anju Almeida and two other persons lured him to pay money but did not give him the room nor the money back.

"We have arrested the female accused in the case and she has been remanded into police custody upto August 8. We are investigating further," said a Juhu police officer.
