On their day, kids learn to overcome 'Studyphobia', and keep clean

On the occasion of Children's Day, while some kids learned about ways to overcome 'studyphobia', other received hygiene lessons in school on Friday, as the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan was launched in all city schools. The Chief Minister and the education minister had an interactive session with children from 10 municipal schools across the city.

This time, Social Activities Integration (SAI), an NGO, found a unique way to celebrate the occasion, with an interactive drawing competition, accompanied by a workshop on 'Ways To Overcome StudyPhobia'.

The workshop received good response from children from underprivileged families. SAI's president Vinay Vasta felicitated the winners with goodies. He said: "A few memorizing techniques were taught by education expert Mohan Pakhre. He gave guidance to children from age group of 11-16 years. Also, DB Pote, a retired school principal, shared his ideas with children. "

Then SCA, a leading global hygiene and forest products company, created awareness on personal hygiene and cleanliness, followed by distribution of hygiene kits to children of Mahim municipal school.

The Early Childhood Association launched their campaign 'Swachh Bachpan Swachh Zindagi', an animated video by MLA and Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar.

The Balmohan Vidyamandir at Dadar is one of the schools to commence the Zero Waste Campus Programme as a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
