On a tip off, cops bust prostitution racket at Ulhasnagar parlour

Acting on a tip off about prostitution racket, the Anti Human Trafficking cell conducted a raid on Tuesday on a massage parlour at 25 C block in Vitthalwadi. The racket was on for many months and the raid was conducted in evening hours between 4pm to 6pm. After the raid was conducted, the main woman behind the racket was identified as Anita Jay Sataria, 36, and was also arrested along with four girls, of which two are from Kolkata and other two from Thane.

A case with the Vitthalwadi police station has been register under PITA (Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act) of the Indian Penal code and further investigation is on.

Madan Bhallal, a senior police inspector from Anti Human Trafficking cell said, "We have rescued four girls and we are investigating the matter. We are tapping on them to know if they got any other link. They were produced in court".

Bhallal further added, "We asked one of the officers to go in as a customer and as soon as he went inside, he asked about everything illegal inside the parlour and accordingly we raided the parlour."
