Now, Shiv Sena and BJP to develop their own selfie points

Two days after Sandeep Deshpande, group leader of MNS, tweeted that the selfie point at Shivaji Park will be shut due to lack of funds, MNS retained the location for the selfie point with many organisations coming up to provide funds. The decision was taken by the on Friday evening after Deshpande met BMC officials.  

However, now the Shiv Sena and BJP will also develop their own selfie points in the nearby locations, giving three selfie points for Mumbaikars. 

Shiv Sena and BJP had announced that if MNS was closing the selfie point, then they would develop their own and also put the hoardings at the location. This irked the MNS and Deshpande, along with other party workers, met the Assistant Municipal Commissioner of L ward, Ramakant Biradar and it was decided that MNS will retain the selfie point and Shiv Sena can develop a selfie point near Cafe Coffee Day with BJP in the periphery only, while the exact location will be decided soon. “We have got funds and we will continue our selfie point”, said Deshpande.

BJP leader Ashish Shelar said, “We are okay with the ward officers decision. We just intend to serve to the people. We will create a selfie point in the periphery”. Shiv Sena’s media person Harshal Pradhan also said, “We are happy that now three selfie points will be there for people”.
