Nine years after Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivka, who ran the Nariman House or Chabad House in Colaba, died in the 26/11 terror attacks, their son Moshe visited came back to the home of his infanthood. Moshe was saved by his nanny, Sandra Samuel, during the terror attacks.
He will accompany Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday to unveil the living memorial that occupies the terrace and top two floors, which was the residence of the late rabbi, in the building. His maternal and paternal grandparents and nanny came with him.
The 11-year-old, who lives with his maternal grandparents in Afula, visited Nariman House at around 2.15 pm and left about two hours later. As journalists rushed to talk to him, Rabbi Israel Kozlovsky said, "We request you to respect his privacy. He is still a small boy." The boy did not speak to the media and looked visibly shaken. "He was continuously peeping from the window," said Preeti Gohil, who lives oppose Chabad House. "We waved at him."
