New Mumbai-Aurangabad bus service for tourists to visit Ajanta-Ellora caves

The fare from Dadar to Aurangabad will be Rs 1,040 and from Dadar to Ahmednagar will be at Rs 755

Two air-conditioned buses without conductor will be operated between Mumbai and Aurangabad and is likely to be beneficial for the tourists to visit world heritage site of Ajanta-Ellora Caves.

“The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will be starting two new A/C Volvo Shivneri services (without conductor) on Mumbai (Dadar) – Aurangabad route. The buses will start plying to-and-fro from November 1,” said Mukund Dhus, spokesperson of MSRTC.

The buses will leave Dadar at 5.30 am and 6.30 am and cover the distance of 386 kms via Maitri Park –Vashi Highway – Nerul Phata – Konkan Bhavan – Kharghar – Kalamboli – Shivaji Nagar (Pune) – Ahmednagar to reach Aurangabad at 1.15 pm and 2.15 pm respectively. 

For return journey, it will start from Aurangabad at 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm and reach Dadar via Ahmednagar, Pune Railway Station at 10.15 pm and 11.15 pm respectively. 

The fare from Dadar to Aurangabad will be Rs 1,040 and from Dadar to Ahmednagar will be at Rs 755

“This service will be beneficial to the tourists visiting world famous Ajanta-Ellora caves, citizens of Ahmednagar and Aurangabad along with the businessmen visiting the adjoining industrial area of these cities. People can make reservation online through MSRTC's website -www.msrtc.gov.in and also on all the reservation centers,” informed Dhus.
