Malik's comment came after Sena president Uddhav Thackeray snubbed BJP and hailed AAP's victory, saying it is not a 'wave'(Modi wave) but the real tsunami, and it is the defeat of Narendra Modi.
"Let there be fresh state poll again. People are disappointed by voting BJP in Centre and state. So, we should correct the mistake by calling re-elections in state. We want peace and harmony in society and don't want to divide on the line of religion," Malik said, hailing AAP's victory.
NCP leader Dhanjay Munde said AAP's victory in Delhi is common man's victory. "Voters rejected the arrogance of BJP leaders. The 100-rupee muffler (Kejriwal's headgear) defeated the Rs10 lakh worth golden embroidery suit man (Narendra Modi). During Lok Sabha elections, Modi appealed to the people that he is from a humble background and will work for them. But the same tea seller started wearing the Rs10 lakh worth suits. People aren't foolish to not understand the hypocrisy of Modi and his party leaders," said Munde.
He added that power has gone into the heads of BJP leaders and they have become arrogant, diverting attention from the country's development. "They even promoted communalism and tried to divide the country. People will not tolerate politics of hatred; that's why they now prefer the common man, Arvind Kejriwal," Munde said.
Malik said AAP's victory is the start of making India BJP-free. "BJP failed to fulfil its promises made in the Lok Sabha. People voted for them for good governance and development, but they diverted from the politics of development to hatred," he added.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress president Manikrao Thakare said people have lost faith in the Modi government in nine months itself. "That's why they rejected BJP in Delhi," he said.
