The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Friday, extended the date of online registration of higher secondary certificate (HSC) examination up to December 14 from December 6 earlier.

The HSC examination has been scheduled for February-March 2014. The date of registration has been extended in order to facilitate smooth submission of forms. This year, the board has started the online admission which posed some difficulty for students in the beginning. Likewise, the date of submission with late fine has also been increased from December 14 to 18. Now, the junior colleges can submit forms and fees up to December 17 and till December 21 with late fine.

MSBSHSE decided to start the process of online registration for students in an attempt to make the process of registration for HSC exams a paper-free affair. The state board also provided training to IT teachers in junior colleges to help students in completing the registration.

About 50 IT teachers from junior colleges across Mumbai, Thane and Raigad regions were imparted training for the online exam registration form-filling process. Even though the concept of online registration is novel to students, they’re finding it convenient.
