"I must thank all of you for supporting me over the years. Today, the work done in the Vile Parle constituency (167) is there for everybody to see. We have a sparkling new airport, the Sahar elevated flyover which leads to Terminal 2 has been completed in a span of five years and so has the Milan Subway flyover. For the Sahar elevated flyover, almost 1000 families were shifted and given new houses and for the Milan Subway flyover, we shifted 70 marble traders' shops and gave houses to 150 families (by building two new buildings), saved 280 houses from being demolished and rehabilitated a madrassa.
One of my biggest achievements till date would be the release of Bhavesh Parmar, a 'Parlekar' and an Indian who was lodged in Lahore jail for seven years. When his mother came to me seeking my support to help release him, I knew we were attempting the impossible but with help from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, the Indian Foreign Minister, Advocate Awais Shaikh in Pakistan and lots of support from Priya Dutt, we managed to get Bhavesh Parmar back from Pakistan to India. Vile Parle is rich in culture and arts and I'm privileged to represent this constituency as an MLA. We still have to develop better infrastructure.
Citizens support and participation is a must, without that one cannot achieve success.

Shirodkar Hospital will soon be renovated.
Through the support of citizens and with the help of the Vile Parle cops, we have busted a gang of drug peddlers twice.
Important issues regarding in situ (on the spot) rehabilitation of people has been taken up in the Assembly and on other forums.
The rehabilitation process should be thought of before embarking on huge infrastructural projects. Several important projects like Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, Eastern Express Flyover, Santacruz Chembur Link Road, Jogeshwari Vikrohli Link Road, Milan Subway Flyover, Sahar elevated flyover, mono rail and metro rail have been completed.
