Muslim society demands trial of love jihad case out of Rajasthan

A section of the Muslim community in a press conference in Mumbai said that they would file an intervention petition to seek the trial of the recent alleged love Jihad case in Rajasthan outside the state. Senior members of the community said that the current atmosphere is radicalising members of the Hindu community.

"Over a period of time, there have been successive attacks on the members of the Muslim community either in the name of cow vigilantism of love jihad," said M Khalid, member of the community.

Sarafaz Arzoo, editor of an Urdu paper said, "In Rajasthan, there have been more than one instances. We are looking to file an intervention petition in the case and may also look to have the hearing moved out of the state for a fair trial."

Feroze Mithiborewala, another member of the community said, "There is radicalisation happening with the state's backing. In fact, even the PM is still silent on the issue of killing in name of cow vigilantism."
