The Nallasopara police have arrested a music teacher for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter for the past one year.

The Nallasopara police have arrested a music teacher for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter for the past one year.

Abhijit Das, 45, a resident of Rajnagar in Nallasopara (East), was a music teacher at Jasudbel ML High School, Khar. The police said the accused was raping his teenage daughter for the past one year after threatening her that he will harm her mother if she opens her mouth and tells tit to anyone.

“An NGO helped the victim to register a case against her father,” said a police official.
The victim is a student of a junior college in Vasai. We have arrested Abhijit Das, 45, for raping his daughter.He asked her to undress herself and the next day started abusing the girl by threatening to harm her mother if she revealed the act to anybody,” said API Dighaokar of the Nallasopara police station.

“And since that day the accused continuously raped his daughter. Tired of being abused continuously, the victim told this to her mother on Tuesday. We have registered a case under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” Dighaokar added.
