Mumbai's municipal councillors have raised only nineteen questions on matters related to health in the ward committee meetings which were held between March 2017 to December 2017.

While most of the questions were related to health and epidemic issues regarding infrastructure and human resources, there were no questions on the scheme for health benefits and treatments under the aegis of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The data on these questions was received through a Right To Information (RTI) application by the Praja Foundation. Of the 19 questions, eight were asked by the R-south ward's municipal councillors, four questions were raised by Rajpati Yadav and two questions by Leena Rajesh Deherkar and Deepak Parshuram Tawde each.

R-south ward which has the majority of the question is related to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital in Kandivali (West).

One of the queries has specifically raised the issue of no anaesthetist being appointed despite a mandate which directs that all emergency patients coming to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital need to be given anaesthesia before surgery. The RTI report also raises concern on the increase in the number of false complaints related to Medical Officer Health (MOH).
