The Virar police on Monday arrested the two teachers of Vagad Gurukul International School in another case after they were given magisterial custody by the Vasai court on charges of abetment of suicide. The duo will be produced in court on Tuesday again.

"Earlier, we had arrested the duo on charges of 305 (abetment to suicide of child or insane person) and got their custody from the Vasai court till Monday. But when we reproduced them before the court, they were ordered to be sent to Thane jail," said Sunil Mane, senior inspector, Virar police station.

Mane added: "But we moved an application to investigate further after other students complained about them and got their custody."

Six days after the bodies of three 14-year-old class 9 students were found behind the school, police officials are still trying to ascertain the exact cause of their death. They are awaiting the post mortem report from JJ Hospital which they hope would make certain things in the case clear.

Ripusudan Garg and Sandeep Palwa have been arrested in the second case while two others, computer teachers Arun Sharma and accountant Ashish Khanvilkar were released on bail.
