Mumbai: Two killed after fire breaks out in Andheri high-rise building

At least two people were killed after a fire broke out in a residential high-rise on Veera Desai road in suburban Andheri.

The blaze erupted out on the 5th and 6th floors of the 21-storey building at 8.21 pm.

Efforts were on to douse the flames. As a precaution, people living on some floors were evacuated.

Five fire engines and four jumbo water tankers have been pressed into service and the fire is now under control.

However, the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
