Mumbai: Six held guilty In a watch store's in Andheri robbery case

All six have been sentenced to ten years of imprisonment.

The Sessions court on Monday convicted six men who were arrested for committing robbery in a watch store in Andheri. All six have been sentenced to ten years of imprisonment.

According to special public prosecutor Sanjana Sharma, the prosecution was able to prove charges of dacoity and criminal intimidation against accused Parvez Khan, Sachin Nikharange, Tarbez Sayyed, Jainal Sardar alias Chachu, Shabbir and Anwar Hussain Abdul Rashid Shaikh.

According to the prosecution's case the accused on December 13,2012, entered a Titan watch showroom in SV road, Andheri at 6.30 am. Only two of the six entered the store while others stayed outside the shop. The accused first slapped the watchman of the store and threatened him with a sharp weapon.

Later they robbed Rs 10,000 from the store, while many other valuable watches were looted too. The total loss came up to Rs 50 lakhs. They picked up around 250 imported watches
