According to BMC Disaster Management Control room, the following areas are the most flooded in Mumbai.
Kurla, Chembur, Dadar, Hindmata, Lower PArel, Maratha andir, Outside Narayan Hospital, Ghatkopar, Antop Hill, Worli, Mankhurd, Worli, Matunga Station, Hindu Colony, Wadala, Bandra, Santacruz, Khar, Malad, Kandivali, Dahisar, Gandhi market, Borivali, Andheri and Juhu.
Bombay High Court Chief Justice Mohit S. Shah on Friday declared a public holiday for all courts in the city due to the excessive rain, which has disrupted normal life.
According to reports, several flights have either been delayed or are being diverted due to heavy water logging.
Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reportedly asked residents not to venture out of their homes unless ‘absolutely necessary’.
The BMC had earlier ordered schools in Mumbai to close in view of the heavy rain and problems related to water logging.
The heavy overnight rain has disrupted local train services and traffic in several parts of the city has been moving at a snail’s pace.

Road traffic in Mumbai was hit hard with waterlogging reported in as many as 63 spots across city.
Both Eastern and Western Express Highway were choc-a-block with bumper to bumper traffic.
Traffic has virtually come to a standstill near Tilak Bridge in Dadar, Sion Circle, SV Road in Khar, Kandivali, Sonapur in Bhandup, Pantnagar in Ghatkopar, Sarvoday Nagar in Mulund, Nayanagar in Mahim, Dharavi, Mahim-Dharavi Link Road, Yellow Bungalow near Dharavi, MTNL Junction in Bandra Kurla Complex, according to information provided by the traffic police in Mumbai.
The traffic on Mumbai-Pune expressway near Lonavla is really slow.
