Mumbai Police in talk with US firm for explosive detection device

The Mumbai Police is in talks with a United States-based company regarding purchase of a system that can detect explosives, radiological material and narcotics. The system detects these substances through muons.

The Multi-Mode Passive Detective System (MMPDS) can be of use for the entry points of the city and ports," said a police officer.
