In the wake of threats to Bollywood personalities, Mumbai police commissioner Satyapal Singh has decided to meet with members of the film fraternity and have an interaction with them. Speaking to mediapersons, Singh said that he will meet with directors, producers and actors in the coming week to tell them not to get scared and to provide them with assistance. He also added that those under serious threat will be given protection.
According to Singh, many people from the film fraternity are scared to approach the police, fearing that they will be targeted by the underworld.
In a couple of recent incidents, prominent Bollywood personalities were threatened by the underworld.
