Mumbai: MHADA CEO Milind Mhaiskar's son found dead

An accidental death report has been registered and a probe is on to ascertain if it was suicide.

An IAS officer's son was found dead in Dariya Mahal, Nepean Sea Road in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. 

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Manmath (22), son of senior IAS officer Milind Mhaiskar​ and Manisha Mhaiskar.
The police said, Manmath left the house on Tuesday at around 7 am, saying that he is going to meet his friend. However within a few minutes, police were alerted at around 7:30 am about the boy having fallen from a building.

The victim was immediately rushed to JJ hospital, where he was declared dead. "He had sustained a head injury and the body has been sent for postmortem in JJ Hospital. We have registered an accidental death report in the matter and our probe is on to ascertain if it was suicide," said Deputy Commissioner of Police and Mumbai police spokesperson, Rashmi Karandikar.

Milind Mhaiskar is the Vice President and CEO of MHADA whereas Manisha Mhaiskar is the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department.
