Mumbai Metro services gave ‘Monday Blues’ to commuters when it came to a standstill on morning during rush hours. Usually it is the suburban train system that is known to be more prone to breakdowns, but this time it was the Mumbai Metro that suffered a glitch.

Mumbai Metro services gave ‘Monday Blues’ to commuters when it came to a standstill on morning during rush hours. Usually it is the suburban train system that is known to be more prone to breakdowns, but this time it was the Mumbai Metro that suffered a glitch.
At around 8.30 am, metro services got affected due to a technical glitch. According to Mumbai Metro official, "There was an issue related to power and it was not for a long duration.”
The official added that services came to a halt only for a period of 5-8 minutes and not more. However, commuters on Twitter claimed the delay was over 15 minutes, wherein even the indicators were not functioning.

A Mumbai Metro spokesperson claimed that the services were immediately restored and now trains are being operated normally.
Minor issues in power supply affected our services for 5 to 8 mins. Services are normal now. Thank you for your cooperation. #HaveANiceDay.
