Mumbai Metro services disrupted during peak hours; Andheri, Ghatkopar stations packed with passengers

Mumbai Metro claims to be #AboveItAll but has once again failed Mumbaikars with services getting disrupted during rush hour on Tuesday.
 
The services that ply between Ghatkopar and Andheri had problems with operations, with huge crowd of people gathering, particularly at Ghatkopar metro station.
 
When asked, Mumbai Metro officials did not specify what caused the problems with their services. Passengers at the metro stations said that services were operating 15 minutes behind scheduled time.
 
Commuters at the metro stations were not provided with updates or information about the reasons behind delay or when would the services resume. It is said that the problem occurred between 8.30 to 9 am, after which the services were unable to resume to normalcy.
 
“Commuters at Ghatkopar metro station were being asked by the staff to opt for other modes of transport as there was excessive crowd and problem with the services,” a metro passenger told dna.

Mumbai Metro's official Twitter account said the problem had been fixed without revealing what caused it.
