The Reliance Infrastructure-led Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) on Wednesday said it has filed a complaint with the Andheri police against a commuter for allegedly jumping queue, and misbehaving with the security of MMOPL. However, the commuter has alleged that he was manhandled by the security staff of MMOPL at Ghatkopar Metro station.

The MMOPL released a statement that read, “MMOPL today filed a criminal complaint with the Andheri police against an irate commuter, who, during morning peak hours jumped the queue, crossed the ladies’ queue and queue manager and also misbehaved with MMOPL security staff when deterred.”

The statement added, “Metro security is responsible for the safety of its commuters including women and children on a daily basis. Our network CCTV cameras shall assist the police with necessary inputs to ensure that the guilty are brought to book.”

However, the commuter, Deepak Dubey, who also claims to be a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that the security staff of MMOPL pulled him by his collar while he was heading towards the ticket counter for renewing his pass from between the queue of the security check.
