The Agripada Police have arrested a man, who is said to have killed his relative at Agripada. The accused has been identified as Rajbabu Mansuri who was nabbed by the police team in New Delhi after murdering the deceased Shakeel Ali.

According to the police, Ali was working as a housekeeping staff for eight months in an Agripada-based office and had not reported to work since November 26. Four days later, Ali’s boss Haider Abbas, who is also the complainant in the case, approached the police over a strong smell coming from a room that was locked. On opening the door, he found a body lying in a pool of blood. The body was partially decomposed. Further investigation revealed that the body was Ali’s. The body had a slit throat and also carried assault marks.

“Without any delay, the body was sent to Nair hospital for postmortem where the reports highlighted that due to severe loss of blood, Ali succumbed to his injuries and was left to rot inside a packed room. As a part of investigation, we scanned the streets of the area to get a clue and Ali’s close friends said that he was last spotted with his distant relative a day before he went missing,” said Savlaram Agawane, senior police inspector of Agripada police station.

“A police team was sent and the realtive was arrested immediately. He was brought back to the city on Tuesday. A case has been registered under section 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code and we are trying to ascertain the motive,” he further said.
