Mumbai: Fire in footwear unit in Chembur

Fire broke out at a godown near Thakkar Bappa Colony in Chembur around 2.15 PM on Tuesday. Six fire tenders have been rushed to the site.

According to BMC fire control room, they received level two fire call around 2.30 PM reporting fire in a footwear manufacturing unit.

“We have sent six fire tenders and four water tankers to the site. The intensity of the fire may increase,” said an official from BMC fire control. He also added that no injuries have been reported so far.
