Mumbai: Driver held for stalking German woman

The Gamdevi police have arrested a man for allegedly stalking a German woman for months. He was identified as Sajid Khan (28), a resident of Love Lane in Mazagaon and a driver by profession.

According to the police, the 37-year-old complainant lives at Pedder Road with her husband and a daughter. “She said an unknown man had been stalking her for the last few months, and he even kept an eye on her residence.

On Friday around 2pm, when she was taking her daughter for a yoga class, Khan followed her yet again,” said a Gamdevi police officer.

He added, “The woman then informed her husband, who reached the spot and they both caught hold of Khan. He was then handed over to the police. He has been booked on charges of stalking under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was produced before the court on Saturday, which released him on bail.”
