Thakur College Of Science And Commerce in Kandivali is back with its yearly short film festival. Organized by students of mass media this is the seventh year of International Shortfilm Festival – CORTOKINO 2019 Unleashing Global Cinema. This year's theme is inclined towards glorifying the roles that left us in awe with their criminal minds. The festival will take place on January 24 and 25. DNA is a print partner with the festival.
Cortokino- Unleashing Global Cinema is a short film festival which was created with a vision of bringing together all those dreamers and artists who believe in the idea of film making and portraying stories on the screen which are dear to our hearts. Cortokino has been a hub for film-makers from all around the world ever since it's inception. The festival is a pioneering effort towards promoting budding filmmakers and artists.
The festival this year has received entries from over 93 countries including the USA, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Russia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy among many others. This year negative roles are the central theme. Earlier, in 2018, Cortokino was launched with an enthralling theme-' RORRIM: THE NEXUS', where the universes battled it out to enter the realm of reality. Like every year this year also plans to enthral the watchers with a lot to offer from the global cinema milieu.
