After mid-day meal sends 17 students of Shayadri Vidya Mandir to hospital, the administration asked parents to send children to school with their tiffin till it resumes mid-day meal programme.

On Thursday 17 students of class 7 suffered food poisoning after eating midday meal at school. The students were admitted to MT Agarwal hospital for treatment and discharged on the next day.

After the food poisoning episode of Thursday, the Shayadri Vidya Mandir school had terminated the services of midday meal provided by Lingeshwar Mahila Bachchat Gat. Out of 700 students of the secondary section who were served mid-day meal,17 kids had to be meted out medical care.

Narsingh Mane, principal of the school, said, "We have not appointed any new organisation that will serve midday meal to our students yet. Meanwhile we have requested all the parents of the school to send the children with their tiffin. We will soon keep a meeting with parents to decide on what can be served in a mid-day meal to avoid such situation with students."
