Mumbai: BEST bus, car catch fire in Chakala

A BEST bus caught fire at the Chakala signal in Andheri East on Sunday afternoon.

A car passing near the scene also caught fire as the powerful blaze spread rapidly.

"The control room received a call at 2pm. Two fire brigades, one water tanker and an ambulance was rushed to the spot," according to a fire officer.

The officer also reported the fire was under control by 2:30pm and there were no casualties or injuries.

He added an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
