On Saturday morning, the Air Quality Index in Mumbai was recorded at 305, which falls in the hazardous levels.

The AQI was shared by the US Consulate based out of Bandra Kurla Complex and the time recorded was 7.45 am.

In Lower Parel, where the DNA office is located, there was no visibility beyond 100 metres, as the pictures suggest. The sun, too, was barely visible with thick smog covering it up, as the picture below suggests.

People leaving near the sea also said that they could not see the waters due to the smog

At the time of writing this, Mumbai recorded 25 degrees Celsius.

In October this year, Mumbai woke up to a smoggy morning with the Air Quality Index at US Consulate reaching a hazardous level of 341 at 6 am. This was primarily due to the firecrackers in Diwali, even though the city experienced a less noisy festival than previous years.
