A day after a six-member British group went viral on social media for their daredevil stunts on a Mumbai high-rise, the Dadar police had them deported for violations of their visa norms. To that end, they submitted a report with the immigration authorities.

According to the police, a group of Britishers had gathered on the terraces of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) buildings at Prabhadevi and while one of the members leapt from one to another adjoining building, other members were seen shooting the stunt — from different angles — on their smartphones.

The stunt was performed on Monday, but the video went viral on Tuesday after it emerged that building residents had also captured the entire stunt and brought it to the police's notice.

"We have deported six British nationals on Wednesday morning back to UK. We had submitted a report to the Special Branch stating that the foreigners had violated visa norms and hence they should be deported back to their country. The foreigners had come on a tourist visa to Mumbai. They had also admitted that they had not sought any permission from the government before performing such stunts," said an officer from Dadar police station.

The police sources said that the group had performed similar stunts at other Mumbai locations as well.

"The foreigners belonged to a Technical Engineering Design group and were staying in a club at Worli. They were also supposed to deliver a motivational speech on December 2 at Worli after which they were scheduled to fly back to the UK," said the officer.
