Mount Litera School International (MLSI), at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), invited around 40 children from Tata Memorial Centre for a morning of fun and frolic along with their parents today (Thursday).

A special guest of honour and a cancer survivor Anurag Basu film director also graced the occasion and shared his inspiring journey of emerging victorious from his battle with cancer.

As a part of the school's 'Service with Smile' club in association with an NGO Annam approximately 80 students from class 6 to class 9 of MLSI organised and managed an event on Thursday. They performed interesting skits, songs and dances which gave social messages like cleanliness and national integration.

Speaking about the noble initiative, Navyata Goenka, Advisor, Mount Litera School International said, "We are grateful to the kids who could visit us today and shared their time. We hope they have taken back some great memories and enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed planning and executing the event for them. I also thank Anurag for his time and sharing with us his journey of fighting cancer"

Speaking at the event, director Anurag Basu said, "The students of Mount Litera School International have put up a great performance today. Such events help develop empathy amongst students and make them value what they have. About fighting cancer, the most important thing to remember is to be happy. I feel in the treatment of cancer, 50% of cure can be attributed to medicines and the remaining 50 per cent to willpower."

Basu also danced with the children from Tata and MLSI students. The event concluded with a fun gaming session for all the kids which they thoroughly enjoyed.
