The Mumbai crime branch has ruled out any foul play in the death of model Bidushi Dash Barde, with officials stating that it is a clear case of accidental death. Barde was found dead at her DN Nagar residence on October 22.

A crime branch official said that Barde’s post mortem report did not produce any suspicious results. “In any murder case, the victim suffers damage to at least one vital organ. However, none of Barde’s vital organs were damaged. Also, she sustained injuries only on the left side of her body, which indicates she probably collapsed onto one side and got hurt. It is clearly an accidental death,” the crime branch officer said.

Bidushi’s husband, Kedar, had told the police that she was diabetic and had fallen unconscious on many occasions previously. She was under medication for her diabetes, and was also on antidepressants.

The police said that the nature of Bidushi’s injuries and the domestic help’s confusion at the time of giving her statement had made them consider the possibility of Bidushi’s death being a murder. However, the CCTV footage from near a bank situated in the premises revealed nothing unusual.

After conducting a thorough inquiry into the case, the crime branch has now come to the conclusion that Bidushi was not murdered.
