"The TIP will be carried out at different intervals. The TIP process will be conducted in the presence of a magistrate inside the jail. The accused policemen would be produced before the victim and her friend and they would have to identify them," said a police officer, requesting anonymity.
On April 3, under the pretext of carrying out a raid, three policemen from Saki Naka police station picked up a model along with her male friend. In her complaint to the Mumbai police commissioner Rakesh Maria, the model had alleged that the arrested accused had extorted Rs9 lakh from them and one of the inspectors had raped her in a beat chowkie.
A case was registered and the accused trio was arrested. The crime branch will produce the constables in court on Tuesday, to seek further police remand.
The police are still unable to track Aman, the model-coordinator who had sent the complainant to the hotel on the pretext of fixing a meeting with a Gujarat-based producer, Sikandar, for work.
The model told the police that one of the accused who had met her in the coffee shop of the hotel later asked her to accompany him to a room where Sikandar was waiting. There, she grew suspicious and refused to comply to the request made by the accused.
The model had also alleged that one of the police officers forced her to perform oral sex on him in the beat chowkie.
