Raising the issue of lack of facilities at the Mumba Devi Temple in Zaveri Bazar, the local MLA of Colaba, Raj Purohit, protested outside the temple on Monday. He said the temple lacks facilities and the issues are being ignored by the management. The temple's management refutes the allegations.

Purohit said, "There are no toilet, water facilities on the premises. Many devotees stand in long queues without shelter. We have raised the issues with the CM and asked for a committee to monitor the temple's management." He added that he will also write to the charity commissioner to investigate corruption in the temple's money management.

Hemant Jadhav, manager of the temple, said, "We have all the basic facilities necessary for devotees. We refuse to accept the allegations put up by the MLA." He added, "We update the charity commissioner about the money used and collected every year."
