In an attempt to create awareness among youths on the nation building process, Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) students of Mithibai College are holding a competition among colleges, Party Toh Banti Hai, in their upcoming festival Paparazzi.

The colleges participating in this competition will have to form their political party, create its symbol and laws. These parties will have to hold rallies and spread their message among people. The rallies will have to be videographed and submitted to the panel of judges. More than 12 colleges have registered themselves for the competition.

Launched in September 2013, Paparazzi is going to be held from November 17 to 19.

"We are surprised with the number of entries. It is easy to complain about the government, but this event is challenging the active participation of youths to shape the political and legal functioning of the nation," said Rahi Bhojani, head of events, Paparazzi.

Chairperson for Paparazzi, Shreya Bhagattjee, said, "Festivals are not just festivals. They are avenues which enable participants to learn and forge relations. This time we are attempting to forge bonds with a nation building process."

"Law has never been this interesting. Everyone should see the amount of hard work the participants have put in, and then nobody can say that the youth is all talk! We are all now just looking forward to seeing the end result on-days." Head of Finance, Paparazzi, Shivangi Upadhyay explained.
